Dear Dee Ann and family,
We feel so blessed to have known your mother, if only for a short time. She left a legacy that will be felt in the choir for many years to come. It is wonderful that her legacies were many and shared by both of her children. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Please keep in touch. God Bless all of you.
Love, Joyce and Warren Prill
Dan Meno Family says
I’ve been blessed to have known Dee and Nelson for the last 16 years. I couldn’t imagine a more special couple. With Dee’s passing she leaves a huge void in all our hearts. We are saddened with her passing, but give glory to our Lord for giving us the time we had with her, and for calling her home to sing in His heavenly choir. I can only imagine the joy she feels in leaving behind her frail body and lifting her sweet voice to His glory.
With Love,
Dan & Deb Meno & family

Dee was such a special friend of mine; I’ve just not felt inspired to once-again, sing in the church choir since she became ill last year.
My mother lost her struggle with conjestive heart failure about a year-and-a-half ago, so I feel your pain and your sense of loss very acutely.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, as well as with Dee.

It was so difficult for Kent and I to stay on vacation when we heard of Dee’s passing. We wanted to be there for Charles, John, and family, to mourn with the choir and the congregation, and celebrate Dee’s life. I remember Chuck Goehring saying that anytime he wanted to get a lift while directing the choir, all he had to do was look at Dee’s smiling face. Even during her illness, a visit with her was one full of joy and interest in others. She will be missed!
Stan Tammy Elser says

My love goes out to all of her family and friends during this time of loss.

You know, if it hadn’t been for Mrs. Higginbotham making me go to the singles volleyball at Faith, I might never have met Ed!
My greatest remembrance of her will be her smile. Oh, she was always so proud of you guys and loved you so much and it showed and oozed out of her from every direction.
All my love to you, Peg

I love you Grandma!!! I miss you.
Kary Feick says
Dear Grandma,
Nothing is the same without you. I miss you so much. The holiday season just isn’t the same. I’m scared to go to grandpa’s new apartment. It’s going to be so weird and not like everything used to be. I want to see grandpa and Sweetie, I miss them too because I have not seen them since Friday August 18th. I remember August so much. I came back from my German trip with my high school and I was excited to come and see you. Thankyou that you held on so long. I was so afraid that I would come back from Europe and you would already be with God and I wouldn’t get to say goodbye. Of course, I don’t know how I could ever say goodbye, because I know I’ll see you someday. It is not a goodbye, but simply that I don’t get to see you for a while. It could be a year or many years, only God knows that. I wonder what it’s like being up there with God and his angels. I’m sure you’ll never stop singing. I can’t wait to be there with you and sing. I’ll always remember wearing the St. Luke’s robe and singing in the children’s choir on Sunday morning that one summer. Oh and last mid winter break, I remember coming to Indiana to see you and grandpa. My mom dropped me off at the airport and I accidentally missed the tram to the next terminal. So, I had to wait for the next one. I was not late for my flight, but it was funny trying to catch the trams that were going by without like getting stuck in the doors as it was closing or something crazy like that. Then after all of that when I flew in to Indianapolis grandpa picked me up at the airport and we went to that deli and picked up sandwiches. When we were driving he kept trying to call McAllister’s to place the order and the same lady kept putting us on hold. We laughed about it and kept calling. Later we came to your house and I got to see you! It was so fun spending a week with you and grandpa even if it was to take car of you. I’ll always remember watching the 2006 Winter Olympics with you and eating cheez-it’s, you loved those crackers so much. Oh and your friends came by to visit, I remember it was nice to see them. You loved your friends so much, and your family too. I remember all the little children at church, you loved them too. And you loved God, SO VERY much. I’ll always remember you and even the crazy times like trying to do my hair in the morning when I was younger and tennis camp. I’ll never forget the good times. My mom says it’s time for me to start making new memories with grandpa and that if all I want to do is hold on so close to the old ones, I don’t want to heal from hurting so much. I don’t see it that way. I feel that thinking about how everything used to be when you were here with us makes me happy because I can remember times like Maranatha and see you smiling in the countless pictures of the fun times we all had. The fun times here without you might be at a halt, but no matter how long it is I will always be so excited to see you when I go with Him.
I LOVE YOU, GRANDMA.
Love, Kary
